Frequently Asked Questions

Most commissions take 6 to 12 weeks from concept approval to delivery, depending on size and complexity. Larger pieces or those with extensive gold leaf work may require additional time. We will provide a specific timeline in your quote.

Commission prices start at approximately $1,500 for smaller works and increase with size, complexity, and materials. Gold and palladium leaf, kiln-firing schedules, and custom framing all factor into the final quote. We work within your stated budget range to find the best approach.

Yes. We share progress at key stages and welcome feedback. Minor adjustments to color balance or composition are included. Significant changes to the concept after painting has begun may require additional time and cost, which we will discuss transparently before proceeding.

That is completely normal and part of why the concept phase exists. Many clients start with a feeling, a color, or a memory rather than a specific image. We will guide you through reference gathering and sketching until the concept feels right.

Yes. All commissioned pieces are professionally crated and shipped fully insured. Continental US shipping is complimentary for commissions over $3,000. International shipping is quoted individually based on destination and piece dimensions.

Commissions require a 50% deposit to begin, with the remaining 50% due upon completion and before shipping. For commissions over $5,000, we offer a three-payment schedule: 40% deposit, 30% at midpoint, and 30% upon completion. All payments are processed securely through Stripe.

Timeline & Communication

You will receive progress updates with photographs at key stages. We aim to respond to all messages within one business day. If a delay arises due to materials or kiln schedules, we will notify you immediately with a revised timeline.

Revisions

The concept phase includes up to three rounds of sketch and color revisions at no extra charge. Once painting begins, minor color-balance adjustments are included. Significant changes after painting begins will be discussed and quoted separately.

Shipping & Insurance

All commissioned works are professionally crated and shipped fully insured. We stand behind our packing and will replace any artwork damaged in transit at no cost. A tracking number is provided once your piece ships.
