Reverse Glass Painting Studio

Art Painted in Reverse,
Made to Glow

Each piece is painted on the back of glass, layer by layer in reverse. When light passes through, the colors ignite. Every work is one of one.

The Technique

Painting in Reverse

Reverse glass painting is an ancient technique where the artist paints on the back of a pane of glass. Every brushstroke must be applied in reverse order — details first, background last.

There is no erasing, no painting over. Each layer must be planned and committed to before the next is applied. When the glass is turned over, light passes through the pigments, creating a luminosity that no canvas can achieve.

The result is art that genuinely glows — not through electricity or screens, but through the physics of light interacting with transparent color.

How It Works

Commission a Piece

From first conversation to finished artwork, the process is collaborative and personal.

01

Share Your Vision

Tell me about your space, the light it receives, colors you’re drawn to, and the feeling you want the piece to evoke. Every commission starts with a conversation.

02

Design & Sketch

I create concept sketches and color studies tailored to your vision and space. We refine together until the design feels exactly right before any glass is touched.

03

Paint & Deliver

The painting is created layer by layer in reverse on hand-selected glass. Once complete, it’s professionally framed, carefully packed, and shipped to your door.

In Their Words

The piece transforms with the light throughout the day. In the morning it’s soft and ethereal, by evening it practically glows. I’ve never owned anything like it.

Sarah M.Brooklyn, NY

Working with the atelier on a commission was a joy. They truly listened to what I wanted and delivered something far beyond what I imagined. The craftsmanship is extraordinary.

James T.San Francisco, CA

I bought Tidal Memory for our living room and it has become the centerpiece of the entire space. Guests always stop and stare. It’s art that pulls you in.
