Glass Art Atelier is the studio practice of DADA, devoted to original reverse glass paintings, collector commissions, and installation-led work shaped by architecture and light.
Origin
An old technique kept alive by what light does to glass.
Reverse glass painting changes the order of making. Fine detail arrives before the composition around it; broad fields and the final ground come last. The viewer looks through the glass before reaching any paint.
DADA stayed with the medium because that inversion makes color behave differently. Reflection never disappears, the glass edge remains visible, and a room can continue to alter the work after it leaves the studio.
The practice now spans wall-hung originals, bespoke collector pieces, signage, and architectural panels—always produced as singular works rather than editions.

What guides the studio
One of one
No editions, no prints, and no delegated production. Each piece remains a singular record of the studio's handwork.
Material integrity
Selected glass, enamel, mineral pigment, metallic leaf, and sealed grounds are chosen for depth as much as durability.
Slow output
The pace stays intentionally limited because reverse work requires concentration before the next layer makes revision impossible.
Room conscious
Scale, wall tone, sightline, and changing light are considered from the beginning—not after the image is finished.
